SIXTY – 60 – SUPERCARS are in action at the Century Batteries Ipswich SuperSprint, the first time Supercars, Super 2 and Super 3 have shared the same program running the same branding.

COVERING 19 years of Touring Car history, the three separate grids of Supercars each put on great competition in their own right.. but we couldn’t help but think about what it would be like if they were all run together.

So, we’ve condensed the qualifying times from the three tiers to see exactly what a 60-strong grid of Supercars would look like should they all be able to fit on Queensland Raceway (which has a grid capacity of 32).

It makes for an interesting grid – and would be a hell of a race!

Here’s some facts:

The main-game cars fill grid positions 1-24, naturally.

The best Super2 Series car was 0.7s seconds slower than the back of the main-game grid.

The Top 45 cars on our Supergrid would be covered by 2.5 seconds!

The Super 3 series pole position time, on the other hand, would have been fifth on the Super 2 series grid and only 0.2 seconds behind.

A joint Super 2 – Super 3 race would be incredible: 1 second covered the fastest Super 2 Series time and the next 23 cars from both classes.
