Outside of Roberto Moreno’s parade laps ahead of the 2006 Gold Coast event, ’07 proved to be the only tour down under for these rocket ships, before the IRL’s “Crap Wagons” paid a visit in ’08, with the merged series electing to cease their transit south thereafter.
For the record, after Will Power scorched to pole position, Sébastien Bourdais went on to claim the win from Justin Wilson (pictured above) and Bruno Junqueira.
