RATINGS WATCH: ESERIES ROUND 10, SUMMARY

THE SUPERCARS ESeries concluded on Wednesday night, so here’s our breakdown of the week-by-week TV and digital numbers across the course of the series.

THE Final round of the BP Supercars AllStars ESeries might have delivered the smallest numbers of the 10-week run, but the impact had already been made well before the championship concluded at Oran Park and Bathurst last night.

FOX SPORTS COVERAGE: WEEK BY WEEK

THE series drew an average audience of 50,500 people across the 10 weeks on Fox Sports 506, with the largest audience of 76,000 coming in Round 3 and the smallest coming in the final round at 32,000.

Prior to the return of the National Rugby League in week 9, the ESeries was comfortably the highest-rated show on any of Fox Sports channels across its run.

Week 1: 70,000
Week 2: 74,000
Week 3: 76,000
Week 4: 44,000
Week 5: 50,000
Week 6: Less than 38,000
Celebrity race: 38,000
Week 7: 52,000

FACEBOOK LIVE STREAM: WEEK BY WEEK

Over the course of the Eseries we’ve tracked the Facebook live stream numbers on the Supercars page, by checking the publically available number at 10AM the morning after each round.

It’s not a totally accurate way of working out the numbers but it is a like-for-like comparison each week.

Based on our metrics, the average live stream audience was 298,000 per round, for a total audience of just under 3 million views.

Week 1: 330,000
Week 2: 604,000
Week 3: 353,000
Week 4: 250,000
Week 5: 277,000
Week 6: 287,000
Week 7: 250,000
Week 8: 198,500
Week 9: 263,000
Week 10: 171,500

(Facebook live video, Supercars Facebook page, 10AM following morning)

However, add in growth on each post across the 10 weeks as people go back to watch elements of each round, and the numbers become even more significant.

Current Number (Growth)

Week 1: 480,600 (+150,600 in 9 weeks)
Week 2: 53,200 (+149,200 in 8 weeks)
Week 3: 434,500 (+81,500 in 7 weeks)
Week 4: 332,600 (+82,600 in 6 weeks)
Week 5: 328,600 (+51,600 in 5 weeks)
Week 6: 343,100 (+56,100 in 4 weeks)
Week 7: 324,900 (+74,900 in 3 weeks)
Week 8: 261,100 (+62,600 in 2 weeks)
Week 9: 350,400 (+87,400 in 1 week)
Week 10: 171,500 / –

As well as adding a further 800,000 views to the total tally (which does not include the various other highlight clips posted on the Supercars Facebook page) it enforces the popularity of some rounds in particular: It’s notable that the all-oval Round 9 of the series has shown the largest week-on-week gain since the top-rated Round 2 of the championship two months ago.

You Tube numbers were also strong, and add another nearly 400,000 to the total across the 10 weeks, while Twitch numbers would be similar.

Perhaps most positive of all is the reporting that more than half a million potential new fans were reached by the ESeries.
