BRINGING BACK THE BIFF: V8 UTES IN DARWIN
NEXT weekend at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Raceway there won’t be any support categories… to make up for this, we are taking a look back on a wild outing from a decade ago, when the V8 Utes brought back the biff up north.

By season 2010, the category was in its prime, with a full field of 16 Holdens and 16 Fords touring the country in an eight round series.
Always a popular stop on the calendar for the teams and drivers, the Hidden Valley event saw comparable quantities of hi-jinks both on and off the track!
For the record, Grant Johnson took the round win from Kim Jane, Jack Elsegood, Chris Pither, Gary McDonald and Andrew Fisher.
Perhaps the biggest incident of the weekend involved Peter Burnitt, who inverted his Falcon in the final race of the weekend at turn one, above.
