According to Mediaweek, A total audience of 428,000 watched Lee Holdsworth’s Truck Assist Mustang top the gripping 40-minute session on Friday afternoon, up six percent on last year.

The audience was made up of 125,000 watching on Fox Sports 506 and an impressive 182,000 on Channel 10 – up from 149,000 last year.

A further 121,000 watching regionally helped make up the combined number – the largest in three years.

It bodes well for the weekend numbers as the event shifts into Top 10 Shootout mode this afternoon.

Last year, 1.121 Million people watched the Shootout; 461,000 on Channel 10 in the metro areas, a further 346,000 regionally and a record 341,000 on Fox Sports 506.

As always, Kayo numbers are not publically released at this point.
