Doric to support TRT Power Rankings
THE original arbitrator of what is good, bad and ugly from each Supercars Championship round, The Race Torque’s Power Rankings, will be supported by Doric for the remainder of the 2021 season.
Australia’s largest family-owned window and door hardware manufacturer, Doric are passionate supporters of Australian Motorsport and The Race Torque (TRT) is thrilled to welcome them on board this year.
As well as inking a long-term deal to sponsoring the Shell V-Power Racing team this year, Doric also supports the factory Desmosport Ducati team in the Australian Superbike Championship and has long-term relationships with ambassadors including Will Davison and John Bowe.
TRT’s Power Rankings are the website’s most popular regular feature, offering a mixture of serious and independent analysis of each event while at the same time highlighting some of the more amusing and interesting attributes from each weekend – both on track and off track.

“‘Doric is proud to be supporting The Race Torque and the fan and motorsport industry favourite TRT Power Rankings,” said Tom Arciuli, Marketing & Sponsorship Manager for the Alchin Long Group.
“Everyone is excited to get racing again and what better way to build awareness of our online store through the Power Rankings.
“If there was a Power Rankings for door and window hardware, we would be hot after our EPEC Electronic Cylinder recently won our industry design awards most innovative component, our 3rd win in 3 years!”
Thanks to Doric’s support, the Power Rankings – otherwise known as Hot, Not or What – will expand their scope for the final five rounds of this year’s Supercars Championship, published on a Monday evening following each round.
Insight from Doric’s motorsport ambassadors will also appear throughout the column each week.
Doric will also support a substantial TRT feature outlining the 50 most influential people in Australian Motorsport – a five-part feature which will run in December following the Repco Bathurst 1000.
“The Power Rankings have become something of an industry go-to after each Supercars round and Doric’s support will enable us to step that up a level or two for the end of 2021. It’s been a rubbish year, but we intend to finish it with a bang..” TRT Editor Richard Craill said.
“Tom and the team at Doric are incredible supporters of our sport but have also been friends of TRT for a long time, so it’s very cool to extend that relationship and get them involved in the Power Rankings.
“We’ve struck the balance between offering our unbiased opinions and insight into each event but at the same time pointing out some of the fun, interesting and downright ridiculous stuff that happens that may get missed in coverage elsewhere.
“We’re very proud of what started out as a relatively simple little column but now takes up a ridiculous amount of time to put together – but how can you resist when you can file stuff in a column titled ‘What?’.
“But it’s all worthwhile when we get messages and comments from people high up in the game asking if they could please make the ‘Hot list’.
“Or more often, asking why they were put in ‘Not’..”
The Race Torque was founded in 2017 to offer an independent voice in the Australian Motorsport Media and has since expanded to include the popular On the Grid Podcast.
The site, podcast and corresponding social media accounts are operated by industry professionals with more than 150 years of combined experience in covering motorsport.
