Six Hour Schedule Revealed

THE TRACK schedule for the 2023 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour has been confirmed, one month out from cars hitting the iconic Mount Panorama Circuit this Easter. 

A full track program, commencing on Friday, 7 April, includes the opening round of Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia, the debut of GT4 competition in Australia along with Australian Production Cars, plus Circuit Excels and Nissan Pulsar one-make racing.

The second round of the 2023 Shannons SpeedSeries will be broadcast live, ad-break free and on-demand on Stan Sport on Saturday and Sunday, with live coverage on the Nine Network on Saturday afternoon.

The Bathurst 6 Hour sessions commence with a pair of one-hour practice outings on Friday, April 7 before a third, 40-minute session on Saturday morning.

Qualifying will be held over two parts, the bottom 50 per cent of the practice order to be followed by the heavy hitters in the top half of the field following that, just after 2PM on Saturday.

Cars are released to the six-hour grid at 11:05 on Easter Sunday, with the race commencing at 11:45am.

The Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Championship launches its new season with a one-hour race on Saturday afternoon, with a second on Saturday morning as a precursor to the 6-Hour.

The combined grid of Australian Production Cars and GT4 vehicles will race three times, a trio of 40-minute timed races adding to the endurance aspect of the event.

The MRF Tyres Australian Pulsar Association Series races three times – their finale’ on Saturday evening – while the three-race program for Circuit Excel competitors concludes on Sunday morning.

The Bathurst 6 Hour entry list currently sits at 68 cars, with a final entry list, including drivers, to be announced in due course.
