THE Kumho TCR World Tour’s first stop in Australia will be an action-packed, two-day affair with night racing the key highlight.

Race Sydney, the first of two Australian Kumho TCR World Tour rounds alongside the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, will be held under lights over two days and nights at Sydney Motorsport Park on November 3-4.

A joint venture between Australian TCR promoter ARG and the Australian Racing Drivers Club, Race Sydney is set to be a must-visit stop on the calendar this year.

The condensed format will allow Sydney-based fans to attend after work on Friday evening, with a busy afternoon and evening program on Saturday, then concluding the round.

Following practice and qualifying, Race 1 will be held on Friday evening, with races 2 and 3 to follow on Saturday – one each in the late afternoon and then one at night, respectively.

Sunday will be an off day to allow more time for teams to traverse the Blue Mountains to Mount Panorama for the Supercheap Auto Bathurst International the following week.

Racing will occur under lights on both Friday and Saturday nights, with live coverage of both evenings on Stan Sport.

The Nine Network will continue to show three hours live and free on Saturday afternoon in the lead-up to the final race that night.

The Race Sydney event doubles as the penultimate round of the Shannons SpeedSeries with a full program of on-track action planned, including the exciting National Trans Am Series plus racing from the Workhorse Radical Cup Australia and Hyundai Excels.

A full event program will be announced in due course, with tickets on sale for both events next week.
