A HUGE fortnight of motorsport on Australian TV kicks off with the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour at Mount Panorama this week.

17 Hours of live coverage across Saturday, 17 February and Sunday, 18 February highlight the coverage of the 2024 running of Australia’s International Enduro, which this year features its strongest grid in years and a host of local and international stars.  

The Repco Bathurst 12 Hour kicks off the 10-day Bathurst SuperFest, which culminates in the opening round of the Repco Supercars Championship, the Thrifty Bathurst 500, the following weekend.

Both events will be broadcast on Fox Sports, Kayo and the Seven Network in what represents a monster start to the Australian Motorsport season.

The Repco Bathurst 12 Hour TV broadcast starts on Saturday with coverage of qualifying, support races and the Pirelli Shootout for the prestigious Allan Simonsen Pole award.

Sunday’s marathon broadcast commences at 5:30am AEDT and runs for more than 12 hours until 6pm.

Meanwhile, every practice session will be streamed live and free in Australia and around the world via the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour social media channels for the first time this year.

Four sessions on Friday and a further two on Saturday morning will be streamed giving fans a taste-test of the on-track action prior to qualifying commencing on Saturday afternoon.

All sessions will also be available via the Radio Show Ltd’s network of channels across the entire weekend.

Saturday and Sunday’s full TV broadcast will also be streamed live to international audiences via the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour website, the GT World YouTube channel and key streaming partners.

With the broadcast hosted by Chad Neylon, the commentary team will be led by the international voice of Sports Car racing John Hindhaugh and 12-hour staple Richard Craill, the pair to be joined again in commentary by five-time Repco Bathurst 1000 winner Garth Tander.

Shea Adam, Jack Perkins and Neylon will cover all the action in pit lane across the weekend, with Matt Naulty leading the commentary of the support categories.

“The international field, stars like Valentino Rossi going head-to-head with some of Supercars’ biggest names and incredible cars from brands like Mercedes-AMG, Audi, BMW Porsche and Lamborghini make it a really unique and special event.

“We have a great on-air team assembled to make sure every angle is covered; we can’t wait for people to follow the action via our broadcasting partners at Fox Sports, Kayo and the Seven Network.

“It starts a huge fortnight that will see our team produce more than 40 hours of live television across five days from Mount Panorama, culminating in the Thrifty Bathurst 500 a week later.”
