Aussie Pros with a Cause

SCOTT TAYLOR MOTORSPORT has shown off the impressive new livery that their Mercedes-AMG GT3 will sport in the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour this year.

To be driven by Craig Lowndes, Thomas Randle and Cameron Waters and run by Ash Seward Motorsport the #222 Mercedes-AMG carries the traditional STM green and black primary colors – with silver and red highlights – but in a new design for this year’s race.

The dynamic new scheme, created by well-known livery designer Tim Pattinson, includes the Southern Cross – showcasing the team’s proud Aussie roots and all-Aussie driving squad – plus support from BP Ultimate who join the team as a partner.

Primary signage is once again dedicated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, who are highlighted on the STM entry for the third straight year.

The team has launched a new website, www.pcfa222stm.org, where donations can be lodged and more than $10,000 has already been donated from early backers of the 2024 campaign.

The #GetChecked tag also features across the large rear wing of the AMG GT3, reminding 12 Hour fans to look after their own health.

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia CEO, Anne Savage, said the team were leading the race in accelerating awareness of Australia’s most common male cancer.

“Craig Lowndes and Scott Taylor Motorsport are outright leaders on prostate cancer in Australia,” she said.

“Over the past two years this partnership has put us in pole position to help close the distance between awareness and action, ensuring Australian men detect prostate cancer early and beat it.

“With increasing numbers of Australian men at risk of a diagnosis, we’re hugely proud to see the STM Mercedes AMG GT3 sporting our message to Get Checked.

“With the extra support for our cause, in Thomas Randle and Cameron Waters – In our books, this team will be hard to beat.”

STM completed a successful test day at Phillip Island this week ahead of their trip to Mount Panorama across the February 16-18 weekend.
