The 10-day extravaganza at Mount Panorama, the Bathurst SuperFest is underway with opening practice for the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour today.

The international endurance race will see 97 drivers from 18 countries do battle on Australia’s spiritual home of racing in Central NSW.

Today’s practice is critical – and in 2023 the fastest driver in opening practice was two-wheel legend turned endurance sensation, Valentino Rossi.

Seven-time MotoGP Champion Rossi will be behind the wheel of his Team WRT BMW again in 2024, taking on the world’s best endurance racers and Supercars stars.

US IndyCar legend Paul Tracy will be amongst this year’s field as well as Supercars greats Craig Lowndes, Jamie Whincup, Chaz Mostert, Cam Waters and David Reynolds.

The 30-car field is all chasing victory, trying to topple two-time defending Bathurst 12 Hour winner and Bathurst resident Kenny Habul and his GruppeM Mercedes-AMG teammates Luca Stolz and Jules Gounon.

Frenchman Gounon is aiming to become the first ever driver to win four consecutive races at Mount Panorama.

Practice 1 at the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour begins at 8:25 a.m. AEDT Friday morning, the first of four 40-minute practice sessions on the day.

The Repco Bathurst 12 Hour officially starts at 5:45 a.m. AEDT Sunday.
