Phillip Island Museum

It’s an attraction often overlooked by visitors to the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, but the facility’s motorsport museum is worth checking out.

Clearly skewed toward motorcycle racing, which is entirely understandable given the venue’s MotoGP and WSBK feature events, the museum delves into the rich history of the development of the motorsport on the Island dating back to the 1920s.

It’s not the biggest museum in the world, but there are plenty of items of interest immerse yourself in.

To find the museum, simply head to the visitor centre on the outside of the race circuit confines, with the are also home to the hire kart track, which is a scale replica of the real deal.

Other examples from Lindsay Fox’s stable are available for public viewing at the Fox Classic Car Collection, which we recently featured on these pages.
