Lamborghini Revuelto Set for Motors & Masterpieces

The latest flagship model from the storied Italian marque Lamborghini, is set to make its Australian public debut at the upcoming Motors & Masterpieces festival, which is set for the Melbourne Showgrounds from November 22-24, 2024.

Taking centre stage in the Monaco Glitz category, the Lamborghini Revuelto will feature amongst a sea of supercars and hypercars at the event.

Featuring a V12 powerplant supplemented by three electric motors, the permanent all-wheel drive architecture of the design can propel the beast from 0-100km/h in only 2.5sec, with a top speed in excess of 350km/h.

Set to replace the outgoing Aventador model, with over 1,000hp on tap the Revuelto features the best power-to-weight ratio of any Lamborghini production car in the 60-year history of the brand.

Australian pricing for the Lamborghini Revuelto was confirmed in December 2023 at $987,000 plus on-road costs, making it Australia’s second most expensive new car. Unprecedented demand for the vehicle has resulted in production being accounted for through 2026.

The package is 30 per cent more powerful than the superseded Aventador model while at the same time producing 30 per cent lower CO2 emissions, with hybrid systems set to also feature in upcoming Lamborghini models such as the Urus and Temerario.

Continuing Lamborghini’s naming convention after fighting bulls, the Revuelto nameplate also means “mixed up”, reflecting the “blending of two souls” with reference to the hybrid architecture of the car.

In addition to the Lamborghini Revuelto, the Monaco Glitz portion of festivities will feature a range of highly desirable future classics, including other Lamborghinis such as the Aventador, Murciélago and Diablo.

Also set to star is the Maserati MC20, the McLaren Speedtail, a Ferrari Enzo, a range of Porsches and more.

Another highlight will be a Singer DLS, noted as a multi-million dollar ‘perfected’ iteration of the Porsche 911.

Elsewhere at the inaugural Motors & Masterpieces, nine other key event themes will ensure something for every car and motorcycle enthusiast, covering various geographic areas and periods of cultural change.

From the best of British is the Swinging London class, Italy’s finest automotive examples will have a home in La Dolce Vita, while the best of German and French engineering will be found in the Continental Classics division.

Heavy American iron will come to the forefront in California Dreaming, Japanese culture is set to star in Tokyo Lights, and the best of homegrown motoring will be featured in Great Southern Land.

Peak vintage motoring will be in the spotlight in the Golden Age section, while High Society will encompass a turbulent time in automotive circles in the 1930s and ‘40s.

Rounding out the categories, Chequered Flag contains some stunning samples from the world of motorsport.

Other festival highlights will showcase some of the most famous cars of all time in the ‘Wheels of the Silver Screen’ segment, which will be joined by a celebration of 110 years of Maserati and a special display of premium Rolls Royce and Bentley models.

The special displays will be joined by barn finds and preservation pieces, while an array of car clubs will be displayed on all three days of the event.
