JOSH Haynes has announced he is upping the game for 2025, with a full-time move into the Trico Trans Am Series aboard the Herzog Steel Mustang.

The move comes after a successful 2024 season when the Canberran-charger, aged just 20, competed in the TA2 National Series in his Ford Mustang, ultimately winning the Championship with 1,348 points, and a gap of 191 points to his next competitor.

Supporting Haynes on the step up to the Trico Trans Am Series is long-term partner Herzog Steel, a Canberra-based company that has been an ardent supporter of Josh for the past five years.

Now, as Josh steps up, so does Herzog Steel, with company owner Phil Herzog saying: “It’s a privilege to be supporting Josh – a young respectful local from Canberra.  I have had faith in Josh for many years now which is why we continue our partnership year on year.

“It’s great to be a part of a family team and ride along on Josh’s journey.  I look forward to a massive year of racing in 2025!”

Haynes, when asked about the ongoing support of Herzog and the title partnership Phil has entered into with the Herzog Steel Mustang, said:  “To have Herzog Steel, a local Canberra company, support me in my racing journey is so special to me. Phil, Rob and the entire Herzog Steel team have such a strong passion for motorsport and to have them onboard the Mustang for 2025 is a privilege!”

Also increasing their partnership with Josh for the 2025 season is another Canberra-based company, ACT Fence Hire.

Owner Angelo Turcin commented: “I’ve known Josh for a couple of years, and as a long-time supporter of young up-and-coming drivers, Josh being local was a natural choice.

“As Herzog Steel followed me in my last journey with Supercars, it was only fitting to support Phil and his team in return for this journey.
