ANTHONY SOOLE will return for another crack at Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour success this year – and he’s bringing more than just a star co-pilot along for the ride. 

The Sydney BMW M4 driver will once again have the services of Shell V-Power Racing Supercars star Anton de Pasquale this year, the DJR pilot having placed Soole’s car third on the grid for last year’s race. 

The experienced Adam Burgess completes the three-strong combination.

However, it is a charitable cause that has the experienced Production Car racer the most fired up about his Bathurst return this year.

Soole has become a supporter of Destiny Rescue, a charitable organisation working to help free children from sex trafficking and exploitation across the globe, and will sport the charity’s branding on his always stunning entry this year.

Destiny Rescue aids in the locating, rescue and reintegration into society of children trafficked across the globe, with more than 11,000 successfully set free to date.

The charity has more than 250 volunteers and operates in 12 countries.

“Destiny Rescue is a charity that I am very passionate about and would love to use my platform in racing to get their story out,” Soole explained.

“These guys are amazing. They are working to help free the over 1 million kids that are currently being sex trafficked around the world. Kids between the ages of 5 – 14 are being held and sold for sex.

“It sounds unbelievable and it is – it’s awful. I really want to help get their story out and if I can use my racing to raise awareness for this important cause then that can only be a good thing.”

Representatives of the charity will be at the event with the team this year, with fans encouraged to learn more about, and support, this important cause.

Soole said having Anton de Pasquale return to the team gave them confidence heading into this year’s race.

“Anton is first-class, he’s a superstar and one of the best young drivers in the country so it was a no-brainer to ask him back.

“He did a great job to qualify third last year and though the race didn’t go to plan he was still really impressive. It showed that if things go our way, we have the speed to be a contender.

“It’s always great to get back to Bathurst and compete in this race and I’m really looking forward to teaming up with Anton and Adam again this year.”

The Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour, round 2 of the Shannons SpeedSeries for 2023, will be broadcast live on Stan Sport and the Nine Network across the April 7-9 weekend.
